Keira for Chanel

Sorry girls for my lack of posting. I've been SOOOO busy.

Ok, so Keira Knightley for Chanel. I love it. I hate actresses turned models. HATE IT. But, I love Keira, I think that she is super classy and so beautiful, and overall fits the perfect Chanel girl description in my opinoun.

The Fashionista Diaries

SO, apparently there is this show on SoapNet (ha...sorry) that has been around for quite sometime, but I am just getting around to hearing about. In case you haven't heard, it's a show about a group of 20 somethings in NYC that have all landed killer assistant/intern positions at world renowned fashion locations. Sounds entertaining? Entertaining, yes, realistic, no. I mean COME ON I know the fashion world is all about glam and designers but it's definately not all fun and games. I mean how many 20 year olds, fresh out of college, do you know lugging around their $4,000 Chanel totes, and wearing all the latest designers? When I saw the preview, I was really looking foward to a show dedicated to fashion, but upon seeing my first episode, I was unfortunately extremely dissappointed.

Thoughts on the Show?

My Beauty Secret: Vaseline!

Happy Labor Day Fashionistas!! No more white for us... :(

Anyway, after going to my lake house this weekened and having absolutely no beauty products, I realized how easy it is to get by on Vaseline alone. It's a position no girl wants to be in, not having makeup. But, with a thing of Vaseline, you can go from wham to glam in under a minute.

Eyes: This is tough, because my eyes are slightly on the smaller side, so not having mascara kills me. But, what I do is just dab over my eyelid with some vaseline (applying it just as you would eye shadow) and cover from the crease down. Then, take a cue-tip and line underneath your bottom lash line with vaseline. Then, just push your lashes back with your fingers which works kind of a like a eyelash curler. And voile! Your eyes look magically and you've done nothing. We went out to a fancy dinner and I was like, crap what am I gonna do? And then my trusty friend Vaseline saved the day.

Vaseline also works as a great lip gloss, and is great for getting dewy cheeks also.

Chic, I know. :)

Fragrances

There comes a time in a young girl's life when...oh who am I kidding? Here's the gist: Natalie needs some new perfume. It's that time of year and as much as I love my classic Chanel N 5, I'm ready for something different, for now at least. What I need is suggestions from everybody on what kind I should buy. And I know, many of you will be like "Make your own decision" but I am just interested in what everyone's favorite perfume is. So, your questions are:

1. What is your all time favorite perfume?

2. Of the three new fragrances below, have you wiffed on? If yes, what was your intial reaction/thoughts?

I love Marc, but I was a little skeptical when I saw this ad. But, it definately intrigued me and I am excited to sample it.
Gwen is so original so I think that this scent will be very fun, light, and very...Gwen.

Ok, now your probably like "What the hell, why is this on here?" Well, honestly, I just really like the commercial alot, so I put it up here for kicks. Has anyone smelled it yet? Is it actually nice?

Fashions fade...

"Fashions fade, only style remains the same."
-Coco

I love her, she's such an inspiration to so many girls, and I just adore her. And I think that this quote brought up a great point. It frustrates me SO much when girls think they have this amazing style because they've got all designer clothes or where they copy and outfit straight out of a catalog and call it style. It just irks me like no other, I think that style should be based on what you come up with. For example, I buy over half of my clothing from consignment stores, and buy the occasional Marc Jacobs piece (seeing as I'm on a tight budget...tehe). Anyway, I guess I'm just venting, but am I alone on this one? Does anyone agree?
