Once again, I have another teenVOGUE post. It's not that I'm obssesed or anything, but I literally tore that thing up yesturday (long drive home from a vacation...why couldn't we just fly?). Anyway, I read that thing so many times and an article by Eva Chen really caught my attention. I've had this theory and have been noticing it more and more lately, but it is so true: What is up with the media and celebrites trying to make all teens become these huge sex-symbols? I mean, let's take Hilary Duff for instance. She's always been the nice, sweet girl with nice songs like "Sweet Sixteen" and has been a Disney Princess for as long as I can remember. So, what was up with her on the cover of that magazine the other day with the tag-line "sex symbol"? Come on girls, let's face it: To survive in this world (and this world being Hollywood), we girls are told we have to be sexy to fit in. Well, I feel there is a fine (and I mean fine) line between Sexy, and Sleazy. To all the girls out there that can embrace there inner sex goddess with out looking like a trashy whore, kudos to you. : )

They look like total strippers. And, if anyone is strippers out there, I completey understand and I am in no way trying to dis you. But seriously...this is what we're supposed to look up to? COME ON!
Alright, I PROMISE this is my last teenVOGUE obssesed entry and I will begin to get my ideas for entries from other sources besides the fashion magazine from the gods.

Thank God you said that. Totally agree, look at Avril Lavigne. Not that we're fans or anything but she was the poster girl for 'alternative' types who wanted to go against the grain and she went and joined the bad guys. Like, duh!!
